150 Joint Personnel Ready to Handle Inundation in Pondok Bambu

They are ready for disaster management

As many as 150 joint personnel in Pondok Bambu Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta had been alerted to face inundation and other monsoon disasters.

Their readiness, along with the facilities and infrastructure for disaster management, was shown in a joint rally at the Pondok Bambu Sub-district office yard, Wednesday (10/26).

Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Ahmad Rusian said that the 150 joint personnel involved were PPSU, Satpol PP, Regional Mitigation Disaster Agency (BPBD), Disaster Response Team (Tagana), Welfare Family Movement (PKK) cadres, Early Awareness Society Forum (FKDM), Disaster Alert Village, RT/RW administrators, Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, and Health Center health workers.

"They are ready for disaster management," he stressed.

Specifically for disaster management facilities and infrastructure, there are four ring boy units, two large tires, one boat, 10 units of life jackets, two flashlights, and one roll in size of 100 meters.

There are also crowbars, hoes, a generator unit, and a Senso cutting machine.

"We have also set up public kitchens and evacuation areas on the yard and hall of the urban village office, and musala," he added.

As for the information, flood-prone points and inundation in Pondok Bambu are scattered in

RW 03, 04, 06, 07, 10 and 11. However, the most vulnerable are in RW 04, as it is near the Cipinang River.
